Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

You will be a member of the systems & safety team whose responsibility is the requirement, document and configuration management for a wide variety of robotic systems including collaborative and industrial robots.

Your Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing and maintaining software and hardware configurations for industrial/collaborative robots
• Create and maintain documentation for all configuration changes, including version control and release management
• Ensure that all changes are properly authorized and tracked through a change management process
• Continuously evaluate and improve configuration management processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain requirements documentation, including business requirements, functional requirements, safety requirements and technical requirements
• Responsible for (re-)organizing and maintaining technical documents and requirements
• Creating and maintaining of document templates
• Train colleagues on the proper use of document management systems and processes
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between different teams to ensure that all requirements are properly understood and aligned with project goals

Essential Skills

• Degree in Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• At least three years of experience with functional safety engineering, systems engineering, requirements management/engineering and/or configuration/document management and product lifecycle management
• Sound knowledge of the safety standards for machines (e.g. ISO 10218, ISO 13849, ISO/TS 15066) and of the machinery directive
• Experience with the creation and review of safety relevant system, software and hardware architectures
• Experience in working with external certification authorities, such as TÜV
• Motivated to collaborate and take on diverse responsibilities
• Fluency in written and spoken English, a good German skills are desirable but not necessary
